Membership

  • Membership is available in the tiers listed here, each with its own pricing and inclusions.
  • The minimum membership age is 16.
  • Membership is personal to the member and may not be shared, transferred, or resold without our written consent.
  • We reserve the right to refuse or suspend membership where a member breaches these Terms, our house rules, or acts in a way that endangers themselves, staff, or other members.

Fees and Payment

  • Membership fees are payable as set out at sign-up via our iTensity payment platform.
  • Fees are subject to change with reasonable notice given in advance of the change taking effect.
  • Failed or late payments may result in suspension of access until the account is settled, in line with our arrears policy.

Cancellations and Refunds

  • Fixed-term membership agreements may be cancelled in writing, subject to 20 days’ written notice, in line with the Consumer Protection Act, 2008.
  • Month-to-month membership agreements may be cancelled with 30 days’ written notice before the next billing date.

Assumption of Risk and Liability

  • Use of the gym floor, saunas, ice baths, group classes, and all other facilities and services is at the member’s own risk.
  • Members confirm they are medically fit to participate in physical exercise and will inform staff of any relevant health conditions before starting a class or programme.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, Real Definition, its owners, staff, and contractors will not be held liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from use of our facilities, except where caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

Code of Conduct

  • Members are expected to treat staff and fellow members with respect, follow posted facility rules, and use equipment responsibly.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate membership for conduct that breaches this policy.

Intellectual Property

  • All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is owned by or licensed to Real Definition and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without our written permission.

Changes to These Terms

  • We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our website or membership after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The “Last updated” date above will reflect the most recent revision.

Governing Law

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
